Mending Basics. June Session
Mending Basics. June Session
Thursday, June 26, 2025 6:30-8:30pm (2 hrs)
$40.00
If you’re concerned about the environmental impact of disposable clothing or just reluctant to say good-bye to a worn beloved garment, this class is for you. You will learn some basic sewing skills so that you can easily and confidently mend small tears and holes in your fave clothes- no need to get rid of them! You will be introduced to invisible and decorative mending methods for patching holes and repairing torn seams in any woven fabrics. Bring along a piece of your own clothes to repair or we will provide cloth for you to practice on. If you are bringing a piece of your own clothes and want to create an invisible mend you will need to bring along matching materials (scrap fabric for patches, and thread.) Otherwise, all materials are provided.
This class is for woven fabrics only. Knit fabrics and darning will not be covered in this session.
